At Dreamcatcher we have an ethos of developing self sufficiency including growing our own food. Food poverty continues to be a challenge in communities where we work.
Our nutrition and food-growing programme continues to flourish, helping provide meals for Dreamcatcher children while also supporting hospitality for visiting guests.
We are deeply grateful for the support of Wilde Ganzen and our Dutch Board in the Netherlands, whose collaboration continues to strengthen nutrition, wellbeing and scholastic development.
We are especially proud of two of our Food Growing Kamammas who, after completing the sponsored programme, have chosen to launch their own Microgreens and Vegetable Growing Enterprise.
Their first orders include:
- Spinach
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Beetroot
- Microgreens
This is exactly the kind of sustainable enterprise development we strive for.
