Postcards and Reflections - Out of Africa

Over the past few decades we have hosted many volunteers, interns and researchers from across the world ranging from students to retired professionals, from medical practitioners to educators. A small sample share their experiences below – click on the thumbnails to read their postcards and reflections on their time with us and its impact 🙂

Our incumbent volunteers and tourism intern sadly had to return to their home countries before the South Africa lockdown on 26th March 2020 due to the global Covid pandemic. They returned home with heavy hearts – and wanted to stay and complete their tenure. At Dreamcatcher our duty of care embraces emergency situations and we assisted their repatriation at short notice.

From March 2020 to early 2022 – due to the global pandemic no volunteers, interns and researchers could travel and our focus was on supporting communities where we work. By the beginning of 2022 we started to receive enquiries and bookings and were elated to welcome back our first visitors in February 2022.
