Melkhoutfontein is named after the famous protected milkwood trees (wit-melkhout in Afrikaans) which populate the coast of South Africa. This mural painted in 2018 on the home of Colin and family celebrates milkwood trees which have been traditionally been used in medicine and are important in biodiversity.
