Timewalk - Reimagined

Painted in 2024, this is the second mural in the new housing development and is a reimagining of the Timewalk from Blombos to Melkhoutfontein mural which was one of the first painted under the project. The mural depicts key events in the development of Melkhoutfontein and environs and Dreamcatcher.

This includes shipwrecks of whom ancestors of the survivors still live in Melkhoutfontein today. It also pays homage to Moses Kleinhans who survived two shipwrecks and whose chance encounter with Anthea, our founder, led to the formation of Dreamcatcher over 3 decades ago. Together they were pivotal in setting up Soeterus in Melkhoutfontein 1992 which was the first care home in the community integrating a clinic and social housing. You can find out more here.

Caroline is proud of her new mural which welcomes visitors entering the new housing development.
