In 2018/19 Hans, Chair of our sister organisation Dreamcatcher Nederlands, embarked on a project taking over 200 portraits of residents and their homes in Melkhoutfontein – with each family receiving their own portrait. The images were also collated in a book and featured at the Festival voor het Afrikaans held in The Hague, Netherlands.
Hans was recently back in the community for phase 2 of the project taking portraits of residents living in the new housing development. Over 100 portraits were taken, again with each household receiving a copy to adorn their new homes. Hans and Coby are regular visitors to Melkhoutfontein and we are indebted to them and at all Dreamcatcher Nederlands for their ongoing support.
